Bremerhaven: A Place Worth Building In

Bremerhaven has always been a city shaped by making things—ships, instruments, technology and trade routes that connected Germany to the world. The story of ASG Bremerhaven mirrors that history, evolving alongside the city while remaining firmly anchored within it.

The move in 2000 to a 3,320 sqm production and office facility in the Bohmsiel industrial park, followed by a significant expansion in 2007, signalled long-term commitment to the region. Becoming part of ASG Aerospace in 2018 added scale and resilience, while preserving the site’s distinctive character.

“For us, being located and having come from Bremerhaven is an advantage,” said Marcus Griep. “There’s pride here, and a real appetite to build things properly.” That sense of purpose is increasingly important as the aerospace sector competes for skilled people. ASG Bremerhaven offers something rare: the chance to work in advanced manufacturing while becoming part of a story that stretches back nearly 180 years.

“Young engineers want meaning as well as opportunity,” Griep said. “Here, they get both. They’re contributing to the future of aerospace, while carrying forward a legacy that belongs to this city.” Today, ASG Bremerhaven stands as proof that heritage and modern aerospace manufacturing are not opposing forces. Together, they form a compelling reason for the next generation to build their careers—and their pride—right here in Bremerhaven.
