ASG Group Launches ‘ASG Aerospace’ to Champion Global Supply Chain Resilience with £5m investment

Against the backdrop of a dynamic and rapidly evolving aerospace sector, UK-based ASG Group has taken a decisive leap in reinforcing global supply chain resilience with the launch of ‘ASG Aerospace’, a new unified division unveiled at the 2025 Paris Air Show.

The new entity brings together ASG’s eight advanced manufacturing and surface treatment facilities across the UK and Germany under one integrated supply chain solution, offering global aerospace customers a “reliable, reactive, trusted & ready” service—now under a single point of contact. The launch marks a pivotal milestone in the group’s transformation journey, as it responds to increasing demand from OEMs and Tier 1s for streamlined, scalable, and technologically capable supply partners.

“ASG Aerospace is our commitment to meeting the sector’s most pressing challenge—supply chain resilience—head-on,” said Simon Weston, Group Managing Director of ASG Group. “By connecting our individual centres of excellence into one cohesive division, we are giving customers access to an unmatched combination of precision machining for both long bed and short bed of hard, soft & exotic metals, surface treatment, and scalable manufacturing, all aligned to the highest global standards.”

This announcement comes as the aerospace industry rebounds from recent disruptions caused by pandemic-era supply constraints, geopolitical tensions, and raw material shortages. With Airbus, Rolls-Royce, and Boeing ramping up production on new-generation programs, the pressure on their supply networks to deliver on quality, lead time, and sustainability has never been greater.

ASG Group’s multi-site integration is backed by a bold programme of capital investment. In the past 12 months alone, ASG has commissioned over £5 million in new machinery and infrastructure—from 5-axis CNC centres at ASG TGM in Preston to an automated TSA surface treatment line at ASG King & Fowler in Liverpool, and high-precision robotic machining cells at ASG Arrowsmith in Coventry.

Each facility has been strategically enhanced not just for capacity, but for digital readiness and sustainability. “It’s about intelligent investment, not just scale,” Weston noted. “We’ve implemented smart automation where it creates efficiency and resilience, while also ensuring our processes comply with emerging regulations and environmental standards, particularly in surface treatments and coatings.”

The move is already paying dividends. ASG Arrowsmith, a key contributor to the new division, was recently inducted into the elite Rolls-Royce High Performing Supplier Group (HPSG)—a status reserved for the top 30 suppliers globally. The recognition, which underscores excellence in quality, delivery, and innovation, highlights the group’s position as a trusted strategic partner.

“Being part of the HPSG is a proud moment for our team and a responsibility we embrace,” said Weston. “It validates our model of long-term investment, strong partnerships, and a skilled workforce. ASG Aerospace now takes that model to a wider global audience.”

The consolidation also allows ASG to better synchronise its talent development efforts across the group, addressing an industry-wide skills gap. From apprenticeship programs to partnerships with local colleges, ASG Aerospace is building a workforce equipped to handle the demands of next-gen aircraft platforms, including complex structural components, high-temperature alloys, and precision finishing.

As global aerospace primes pursue aggressive growth and seek partners who can deliver at speed and scale, ASG Aerospace is positioning itself as the ‘one-stop-shop’ that simplifies complexity.

“That’s what reliable, reactive, trusted & ready means to us—and to every customer who relies on us to help keep their aircraft flying.”
